"Booth Camp" with Emmy award-winning Amy Hartman

Amy Hartman (www.amyjhartman.net) has done voice-over promos for The Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet & The Food Network. She has appeared in the Discovery Channel’s Emmy Award-winning Titanic documentary. National spots include American Express, American Greeting Cards, Pittsburgh Paints, Pepsi, Levi Jeans, Clairol, McDonald’s, Bruegger’s Bagels, Virginia Lottery, Pennsylvania and New Jersey Lotteries, websites, computer games (including Werewolf Woman), museum kiosks, and many hospitals all over the country (including Children’s, Mercy, Allegheny and Magee Hospitals in Pittsburgh). Giant Eagle, Foodland, Roomful Express, GNC, and Dicks Sporting Goods, to name a few. Amy, a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actors Equity, has guest lectured at CMU, Point Park, Hunter College, CCAC and NYU.  She’s also produced over two hundred demos for actors, and many commercials, industrials and audio books, including The Diversity Dialogs for NPR.

Learn voice acting in a professional recording studio, from a professional who makes a living performing, producing and directing voice-overs. Whether you’re a voice-over novice, a radio announcer who’s stuck in a rut, or an experienced visual actor who wants to expand your skills into voice acting, this class will teach you the nuts and bolts of the business. Topics will include: script analysis, character development, the voice actors’ union, casting directors, talent agents, auditioning, marketing yourself, and home studios. Everyone will get mic time!
