Improving Your Hearing Screening and Follow-up Practices: Webinar for Experienced Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) and Pure Tone Screeners

This webinar will review the follow-up  protocol for when children do not pass the initial hearing screenings, regardless of whether one is using OAE or Pure Tone screening.  Strategies for supporting families through follow-up steps will be discussed, as well as implementation tools for facilitating follow-up. Participants will learn more about improving screening skills and adhering to a follow-up protocol that are essential to implementing evidence-based practices.

Topics addressed during the webinar include:

  • Strategies for screening children, ages 3-5 years of age
  • Scenarios illustrating use of a follow-up protocol
  • Online resources to support screening and follow-up
  • Questions from participants

Who Should Attend?

EHS and HS program staff who have experience conducting OAE and/or Pure Tone hearing screening and want to review and improve their current screening and follow-up practices.
