The Republican National Committee, as well as state and county GOP organizations across the nation, have passed resolutions against Common Core.

Florida and other states, looking to quell the rising tide of dissent from constitutents, have made minor additions and renamed them. Common Core and the "Florida Standards" now in place are nearly identical. The tests are costly, they are data mining and psychologically profiling our kids, stealing learning time, fraught with technical errors and lack validity. September 25, a press release from the Florida Association of District School Superintendents was entitled: Florida Superintendents Have Lost Confidence in the Accountability System. Parents and children are frustrated and looking for answers.

The Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee is pleased to bring three of the nation's top minds on Common Core to Fort Walton Beach to answer the questions: who is behind the curtain; what is the financial cost; what is the cost in privacy, personal freedom, and your children's future; how will the standards drive curriculum and what can we do about it?

The $40 event fee includes a box lunch. Members of the Century Club and the Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee receive a $10 discount off the regular ticket price.
