Delmarva Power Commercial and Industrial Energy Savings Program

New Construction & Major Renovation Opportunities

Seminar for Service Providers

Building owners and developers building a new facility within the Delmarva Power territory understand that energy efficient design can increase a property’s value and reduce its operating costs through lower utility bills. While current code pushes new building design towards higher efficiency, Delmarva Power’s new construction standard and custom incentives provide financial motivation to implement advanced energy efficiency designs and technologies!

On Wednesday, February 21st, we will conduct a training for the New Construction incentive track reviewing the steps, requirements and methods necessary to claim available incentives, potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Application requirements and responsibilities will be described in detail, including those for Service Providers coordinating project design and application submissions. We will also review how incentives can be applied to cover the costs of new building technologies, including those seeking LEED, ENERGY STAR® or other green building designations.

Agenda

  • New construction and major renovation: is my project eligible?
  • Developing new construction projects
  • New construction standard incentive tracks
  • New construction custom measures: application process and incentives
  • Designing a better building: comprehensive design support incentives
