Agricultural Conservation Technical Training Basic Boot Camp 2019

TARGET AUDIENCE
Appropriate for newly hired Agricultural Conservation Technicians, (ACT), new NRCS field staff, new Nutrient Management Technicians, new Chesapeake Bay Technicians, new Watershed Specialists, and others with less than 1 year of  professional experience, or less than 3 years experience if employee did not attend a previously held Level I ACT training.

Attention NRCS employees: Do not submit SF182 until you receive confirmation that you are approved to attend this training. 

If you do not receive confirmation from PACD, you will not be admitted. No walk-ins will be accepted. 

 COURSE CONTENT

FEES
Participant registration fees are waived.  Funding is provided through a Special Leadership Development Project Grant, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and State Conservation Commission.

LODGING
All participants may take advantage of the room block rate, but only conservation district staff will be reimbursed (as funds allow) by PACD for their overnights.

Rate: $70.00 ( including tax) for 2 queen beds or 1 king  (single or double occupancy). You must ask for the "PACD Room Block" when making your reservation. The room block expires on March 23.

PACD will reimburse the conservation district (up to $70/person/day) AS FUNDING ALLOWS for the lodging of those whose office is more than 45 miles away from Fort Indiantown Gap. Monday through Thursday evenings only. Please note: there may not be sufficient funding to fund all four nights for every district employee. 

The training itself will be held at the Keystone Conference Center at Fort Indiantown Gap.

MEALS
Lunch will be provided. Breakfast, snacks, and dinner will not be provided. A complimentary continental breakfast is available at the Days Inn. Please plan to bring your own snacks and refillable water bottle.
