Tour of "150 Years of Michigan Photography" at the Charlevoix Historical Society
Join us to see over a dozen photographs from the Clements Library's David V. Tinder Collection of Michigan Photography on display at the Charlevoix Historical Society for their new exhibit "150 Years of Photography at the Charlevoix Historical Society" guest curated by University of Michigan alumnus Ole Lyngklip.
The exhibit examines the continuum of six important Charlevoix professional photographers from the 1880s to the 1960s. Visitors will be able to take photos in a replicated 1880s photo studio complete with vintage backdrops and props. In addition, early photographic equipment is on display including wood box cameras, a stereoscopic camera, and antique Kodak cameras.
