Proper Filing of the Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Commercial Environmnet (ACE) / Automated Export System (AES) & Recent Regulatory Changes
Most exports from the U.S. require the filing of the EEI through the ACE/ AES. Not filing, late or inaccurate filings can mean significant fines and penalties. Exporters need to know how to file their information correctly. This webinar will cover filing requirements, obligations, and recent regulatory changes.
In the case of a “routed shipment,” the buyer may have responsibility, but the seller always has either the actual obligation to file or ensure the filing is correct. In many cases the Freight Forwarder will file on behalf of the U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI) or the buyer when it is a routed transaction. When a Freight Forwarder files, it takes on the responsibility for proper filing based on information provided by the USPPI. This webinar will help exporters understand their responsibilities.
