This event is the Wells County Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Luncheon and the Mayor’s Turnaround Awards. It will be held on May 5th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Arts, Commerce & Visitors Centre (lower level) at 211 Water Street, Bluffton.
The Wells County Chamber members are invited to attend this luncheon, which the focus is on education and workforce. The Mayor’s Turnaround Awards award three $1,500 scholarships to 3 students. These awards will be given to one young person in each of our three county’s high schools. The criteria is simple: we will recognize students who have turned their lives and behaviors around in school after exhibiting behavioral or academic problems. Award winners would be selected by school teachers and administrators and awards given during the Quarterly Luncheon.
Chad Kline, Economic Development Director, will also speak about the current initiatives and goals he is pursuing in his new position.
