Using Technology with
Classroom Instruction That Works

PD Workshop

July 29-30, 2015

When used effectively, technology can enrich students’ learning, encourage project-based instruction, and help give students the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. As an educator, how do you make sure you’re using the right tools, apps, and programs to maximize your students’ learning?

Attend this two-day workshop to learn how to combine research-based instructional strategies with 21st century tools, using strategies and frameworks from McREL’s popular Using Technology with Classroom Instruction That Works book.

This workshop will give you guided hands-on practice combining instructional strategies with a variety of technology, and you’ll leave the workshop with:

  • Knowledge of educational tools that support research-based instruction, including Web 2.0 resources and iOS/Google apps
  • New ways to use already familiar technologies
  • Access to a dedicated website and customized wiki to get hands-on experience with technology integration
  • Access to hundreds of websites specifically tied to the instructional strategies
  • Technology infused lesson ideas ready to use in and out of the classroom, for flipped and blended learning

Who should attend and what to bring?
