Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention (ORTIi)

Information Session

Are you trying to scale evidence-aligned reading instruction to improve literacy outcomes in your setting? Are you wondering if support from the Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention Project is right for your district as you build a Multi-Tiered System of Support for Elementary Literacy? Join an information session on February 7th to hear more about the project, levels of support offered and to ask questions you may have.

What is ORTIi? The Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention (ORTIi) Project is an ODE grant-funded project that has supported districts across the state with the implementation of evidenced-based, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) in Elementary Literacy since the Fall of 2005. The established professional development and coaching models have a proven history of effectiveness. Visit our website at oregonrti.org

Who should attend? Oregon district leaders including superintendents, curriculum directors, special education directors, and other MTSS champions in your district. The ORTIi Project is a district-wide project. Individual schools in multi-school districts do not apply on their own. However, building principals may attend this session if they want to encourage their district to apply for support.

Why should we attend? This is an opportunity to hear about the different levels of support offered by the ORTIi Project. The supports range from general state-wide support to joining our next Cadre of Elementary MTSS Implementers.

What does it cost? Generally there is no cost to Oregon districts for accessing most of the ORTIi supports. Full participation in the project does come with some funding. During this session, we will explain more about the funding of the project and what this means for your district.

What if we were an ORTIi district in the past? For the first time, we are now able to offer support to returning districts. Come to the session to hear about options for returning districts.

What if I can't come on February 7th? The session will be recorded and available a few days after the session. We will send it to those who register, and it will also be available on our website.

ORTIi Project Mission Statement:

ORTIi will work to cultivate the capacity of each school district community to build and sustain comprehensive multi-level systems of prevention and support that identify and serve the literacy instructional needs of each and every child.
