About this year's FFHC
We have a few changes this year. In addition to a new venue – Camp Wightman, Griswold, CT; we have changed the schedule from 3-½ days to 2-½ days. This change has been made to enable more folks to attend and to keep costs affordable.
Onsite camp registration will take place Friday morning from 8:00 - 8:45 AM with rehearsals beginning at 9:00 sharp. For those traveling a distance, Camp Wightman has offered a Thursday evening arrival, for a lodging only cost of $51.00 per registrant. You will be on your own for Thursday dinner and Friday breakfast, there are fully applianced kitchens available for your use.
Camp Wightman offers many outdoor water activities, which we hope to enjoy during our afternoon free time. Canoes and kayaks are available for our use, along with the necessary life vests. Life guards will be available onsite. There are hiking and biking trails and a nearby ice cream stand – you will see it on the way to the camp. Bring towels for the water activities.
Repertoire: You will be advised of the selected repertoire after you have registered. You may either purchase it, on your own, or it may be available in your group’s (or your friends’ files). We are selecting repertoire from previous Festival/ Conferences to save on costs and to revisit some of our older favorites. Please practice your music prior to camp. We will try to provide Director’s notes with selection notification.
Registrants: We require a minimum of 28 registrants in order to make this event ‘happen’ so please spread the word. We also have a maximum of 65 registrants – meeting the max would be terrific!
2020 Camp Rates can be found by clicking the "Register Here!" on the left side of this page.
All registrants between ages 8-18 MUST participate in rehearsals and workshops. All freetime MUST be under the supervision of an adult.
There will be NO childcare provided by camp staff.
