Our 2017 tournament will return to Stone Mountain Golf Club in beautiful Stone Mountain Park.

From the Lakemont Course last year, the tournament shifts to the Stonemont Course for 2017. Designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones Sr, this masterpiece overlays gently rolling and cantered fairways of premier Bermuda grass and greens of immaculate bent grass. The par 70 layout stretches 6,863 yards and features narrower fairways, strategically placed bunkers and beautiful stands of Georgia pines.

Tournament golfers receive complimentary entrance to Stone Mountain Park, so there's no need to buy a park pass if you don't already have one.

Tournament Rules - Scramble Format

Each group competes as a team for the LOWEST TEAM SCORE for the 18 holes.

METHOD OF PLAY

  • Each group will select a team captain prior to teeing off.
  • Play begins with each member of the group teeing off.  Men use white tees, women may use red tees, seniors 65+ may use red tees.
  • With the agreement of the other members of the group, the team captain decides which drive is the most desirable.
  • The other members of the group pick up their balls and proceed to the spot of the selected drive, where they will hit their second shots.
  • The best of the second shots is then chosen. The group will then hit their third shots (or putts) from that spot.
  • This procedure continues until the ball is in the hole.
  • At the end of each hole, the score for the group is recorded on the card.                                   Note:  The maximum score allowed is bogey (one over par).  After that, simply pick up the balls and move on to the next hole to ensure efficient tournament play.

OTHER RULES

  • For scoring purposes, each player's drive must be used at least twice during the tournament.
  • Place balls within one club length of the original ball.
  • In placing the ball, you may not change the condition of the shot. If the ball is in a hazard or rough, all members of the team must play their shot from the hazard or rough, respectively.
  • On the putting green, place the ball within 3 inches of the original ball, and such that it is no closer to the hole than the original.
  • On the putting green, give each person a shot at the first putt. Do not hole out a short putt if you have missed your first putt. The first ball in must count. Mark your ball and wait.
  • If playing as a threesome, one member of the threesome may, on a rotational basis, hit or putt an extra time to compensate for the fourth person.
  • Mulligans and putting strings may be used by the team on any hole or holes.
  • No handicap scoring will be used at this tournament.
  • The Stone Mountain Golf Club scoring app will be the official method of scoring, though paper cards may be accepted as a backup.
  • In case of a scoring tie, winners will be decided by lowest score on handicap holes.
