Join us for the Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable Field Trip on Friday, November 17, for a tour of Galveston parks. We will learn more about the award-winning Women in Coastal Science program, tour parks around the city, and hear about using parks and parks programing as a revenue-generating, program-supporting opportunity.

We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at East Beach (R.A. Apffel Park) at 1923 Boddeker Road, Galveston, TX 77553. Carpooling is encouraged. H-GAC will NOT provide transportation to Galveston, but onsite transportation for the parks tours will be provided.

Registration by November 6 is requested for on-site transportation for the parks tours.

The Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable serves as a forum for discussion of issues related to parks and natural areas and promotes the annual Parks and Natural Areas Award Program. The Roundtable facilitates information exchange and planning efforts between various stakeholders and collaborators to protect and preserve parks and natural areas across the region.

The Roundtable meets the second Monday of July and September, with field trips in the spring and fall and an awards recognition ceremony in February. The group is open to anyone interested in participating.
