Give, Take, Care: Taking Care of Yourself and Your Clients

Special morning forum for frontline service providers!

As frontline staff and service providers are you feeling the effects of compassion fatigue and "burn out?" While wanting to help your clients to the best of your abilities, it is equally important that you learn how to take care of yourself.

This forum is a professional development event brought to you by the members of the Employment Assistance Resource Network (EARN) and the Youth Employment Network (YEN). It is open to all service providers who would like to attend, on a first come, first service basis.

Our morning event includes:

  • Diana Tikasz, Social Worker/Clinical Specialist at Hamilton Heath Sciences presenting on "Transforming Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma"
  • Diana will help you to learn your own unique warning signs and help you to develop a plan and learn strategies for transforming the effects of compassion fatigue
  • Our second speaker, Catherine Maybrey, McMaster University will speak about "Harnessing the power of social media to benefit your clients."
  • Liz Enriquez from Workforce Planning Hamilton will review the www.WINHamilton.ca site
  • Lots of time for networking and information sharing with your colleagues

A full hot breakfast will be served!

Cost for the event is $20 each. Payable by cheque or cash.

Space is limited...so please register today!
