We invite you to join Taft and NYBG scientists for a docent-led tour of The Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden. This is a special time of year when the roses bloom again, known as the second blush.

Following the tour there will be a cocktail reception in the Stone Mill, a short walk down the path from the rose garden, where guests will be joined by New York Botanical Garden scientists.

. . .

Ten years ago, Taft School and The New York Botanical Garden forged an admirable relationship and collaboration.  Programs include eight-week summer internships mentored by world-renowned scientists, and lectures on campus by those scientists.  The newest initiative in the offing is an Amazonian “Eco-Tour” involving NYBG scientists, Taft science faculty, and students.   The relationship is exclusive as well as unique – Taft is the only private school enjoying special access to       The New York Botanical Garden’s science opportunities.  Many Taft alumni have supported the above endeavors by endowing the lecture and internship programs.
