Our Best Lives: A Conversation on Issues Affecting the Transgender Community.
This event will feature the screening of two Rhode Island PBS Weekly segments, "My Best Life" and "My Take", followed by a panel discussion with faculty, students, parents, community advocates and service providers. This will be a hybrid event with options to attend in-person or via Zoom.

- "My Best Life" - Rhode Island PBS Weekly examines the mental health challenges facing many transgender people. While transgender individuals are gaining greater representation in pop culture, still many are plagued with shame and fear, often shying away from therapy. Weekly's Pamela Watts hears from experts and speaks to two transgender Rhode Islanders striving to live their best lives.
- "My Take: Cole Love" - As part of our continuing My Take series, Cole Love – a transgender plumber whose remarkable transformation has inspired many – gives his take on being yourself.
- "Trans-Formation" - Nine months after profiling a local transgender teenager as she began seeking her new identity, she provides an update on the physical and emotional changes and challenges confronting her on a daily basis. She also reveals what she has had to leave behind in the journey toward becoming her true self.
