2020 Southwest California Synod Assembly - Congregations & Congregational Voting Members 

The 2020  Southwest California Synod Assembly will be held at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks from Thurday May 28 through Saturday, May 30.

The Synod Assembly is the highest legislative authority of the synod. In addition to conducting the business of the synod, voting members and visitors gather for worship, presentations and workshops designed to support the ministry we do together as a synod.

Voting members serve on behalf of all the people of the Southwest California Synod. To be a voting member is to be entrusted by your congregation to make decisions for the well-being of our synod and the whole church. Voting members of the 2020 Synod Assembly will be called upon to elect Synod Council members and committee members, in addition to voting on the synod budget and resolutions.

Fees

Please Note that Assembly Registration Fees DO NOT include Housing.
Housing reservations, whether at a hotel or at the Cal Lutheran Dorms, must be made and paid for separately. 

Congregational Registration: one called Rostered Minister and two lay voting members - includes lunch & dinner Friday - $575

Additional Rostered Minister (clergy or deacon) - includes lunch & dinner Friday - $195

Additional Lay Voting Member (congregations will be informed if the size of their membership entitles them to an additional lay voting member or members) - includes lunch & dinner Friday - $195

Additional confirmed Youth Voting Member: each congregation is entitled and encouraged to register an additional Youth (under 18) or Young Adult (18 - 30) voting member as part of their delegation) - NO ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION FEE (includes lunch & dinner Friday)

Waiver of Liability 

All Assembly Members, voting and non-voting, must fill out the the California Lutheran University/2019 SWCA Synod Assembly Liability Waiver Form linked here - please download and print a copy for each attendee, and bring the completed form to the assembly.

PLEASE INCLUDE ALL YOUR CONGREGATION'S VOTING MEMBERS ON THE REGISTRATION FORM, IF POSSIBLE. IF YOU ARE FILLING OUT YOUR CONGREGATION'S REGISTRATION, AND ARE A VOTING MEMBER, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION.
