"For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it."

--Amanda Gorman, The Hill We Climb

Many of us were inspired by the words of Amanda Gorman’s poem on Inauguration Day. Similarly, Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches and writings have lifted many. Using Gorman’s poem “The Hill We Climb,” and MLK’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” this three hour retreat will give you the opportunity to dig deeper into these writings with others to find where they intersect with your own life. This retreat will give you a chance to honor these two artists and prophets by taking their words to heart, and letting them impact your own life and path.
