The New Clergy Transition Program - June, 2019

The Diocese of West Missouri has a begun a new program for newly ordained and new clergy to the Diocese called “The New Clergy Transition Program”.

This transition program comes highly recommended by the Commission on Ministry, the Diocesan Council, the Office of the Bishop and the Office for Transition for Clergy.

The Transition Program will explore what makes a clergy person successful and provide ways to avoid the common dangers for clergy often found with new beginnings. The Transition Program will help clarify a clergy’s identity in various roles they will eventually perform in their spiritual journey: pastoral, professional, and personal expression.  The Transition Program will increase clergy’s knowledge through understanding of self of these various roles and create bases for successful leadership and for the communities you serve.

The Transition Program is set in a quiet retreat environment in order to allow clergy to set aside their busy lives and to learn to discover and build friendships with each other, experience motivational and learning presentations, and allow for discussions and various activities that seek to promote the key goals of strengthening our identity as successful Spiritual Leaders.

The Transition Program has three overnight retreats held at Trinity Meadows Center located near Bolivar Missouri at 365 E 373 Road, Dunnegan, Mo 65640:

February 22-23, 2019
April 26 -27, 2019
June 28 -29, 2019   

Each of these retreats will begin on a Friday evening at 4:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30, and a first session following dinner. Each retreat concludes on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

The cost of the Transition Program is $100.00 per weekend, which covers accommodations and food.  However 2/3 of the cost can be subsidized under the Diocesan Educational Program Fund by your Parish and the Diocese.  You will find more information about the program here.
