Web developer and small business owner Becky Davis will demystify the process of getting your Web site online. This workshop is geared toward business owners who are either getting started with their first website or have an existing website that they would like to improve. During this workshop, we will walk participants through the standard design/development process for a website; show them what decisions they need to make for themselves and how to find and work with a professional to take their website to the next level of quality and customer satisfaction.
This workshop will cover: planning the site, types of sites, budgets, domain names, hosting, finding a professional, contracts, the design & development process, pre-launch checks, site maintenance and an overview of marketing tools.
Presenter: Becky Davis, the owner of Becky Davis Design specializes in web design, development and custom WordPress themes for small businesses. In addition to web design and maintenance, she also offers customized training. She was a design major and spent many years running a help desk and training new employees. That teaching experience along with working with many business owners who didn't know what to expect in the web design process, inspired her to develop this seminar. She does this presentation regularly for SCORE Chicago.
