Beyond CDI Basic Prevention: Session 4 Environmental Cleaning
Clostridium difficile infections (CDI) are on the rise across the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) reported that C. difficile "was estimated to cause almost half a million infections in the United States in 2011, and 29,000 died within 30 days of the initial diagnosis." With the implementation of strategic infection control recommendations and careful antibiotic use, CDI can be prevented.
To address the upward trend in CDI rates, the Tennessee Department of Health and atom Alliance have partnered to bring to you a series of webinars which will explore the implementation of best practices to prevent CDI. In this series, we will discuss current prevention strategies and offer tools and resources to assist facilities in their journey of infection prevention to achieve zero patient harm.
Join us for the fourth learning session in the series on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CT / 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET.
