Join us as we tour the BNSF corporate facility and the Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC houses the dispatchers and support staff who manage traffic around the clock. The NOC is a fairly new facility and is on the leading edge of technology. In addition to the NOC, we will learn about the BNSF corporate art collection.
The BNSF is home to over 600 works of early Taos, Santa Fe and Western landscape art, paintings and some bronze sculptures by American artists depicting the land and Native people of the Northwest and Southwest United States. Acquisitions date from the early 1900’s. The collections of the three primary predecessor BNSF Railroads, the Northern Pacific, the Great Northern and the Santa Fe were the first corporate art collections in the U. S. However, unlike most other corporate art, the paintings played a role in the earlier success of these predecessor railroads.
