Opening Doors to Opportunities
How can educators enable high-tech apprenticeships?
Germany’s dual education system is well-known — what does it mean when it is applied to the US educational system?
Join our workshop on the role of educators in apprenticeships both in Germany and in the US. This workshop will facilitate peer-to-peer connections and best-practice exchange between experts from the US and Germany — connections that will support educators as they navigate the changing workforce and higher education opportunities.
We will be holding the workshop on Wednesday, March 18, as a virtual workshop from 10 am – 12 pm.
Speakers will be joining us via videoconferencing, and we encourage attendees to use webcams if possible, as we've found this encourages active discussion.
Who should attend?
Our featured speakers will be:
Following the workshop, join our Study Trip to Germany (dates TBD). Connect with German education and industry counterparts and learn how various institutions enable career paths through apprenticeships. More information coming soon.
The workshop and study trip are part of the Transatlantic Apprenticeship Dialogue, a German-American encounter program with an emphasis on technical training. This summer, our focus is on cooperation between educational institutions and companies, as well as on career orientation in schools in order to familiarize students with apprenticeships.
