Working with Children with Special Diets, Allergies & Specialized Feeding Issues- 0.5 CEU (online)

 Presenter:  Linda Schumacher

Food allergies affect 1 in 13 children in the United States, with young children being affected the most.  Food allergies, food sensitivities and other feeding issues are an increasing concern for early education and care programs.  Participants will be introduced to the health and safety needs of children with special dietary needs and ways to support these children and collaborate with families and health professionals.  Participants will begin to develop their own individual health care plan for children with special diets, allergies, and specialized feeding issues in their program. You will be required to complete one hour of homework to make it 5 hours.

Prerequisites:  All participants must have access to the internet and their own laptop, computer, tablet, or other device to fully participate in this interactive webinar.   Some devices may need additional downloads to enable GoToWebinar.  All participants must have basic computer skills, including receiving and sending email, downloading and attaching documents, and checking email daily.
