Matunuck Oyster Farm Tour & Alfresco Grilling Class with Chef Deja Hart
Hop on the barge with Perry Raso, innovative owner and mastermind behind the hugely successful Matunuck Oyster Farm on Potter’s Pond. We’ll learn about local aquaculture on his 7-acre shellfish farm and then venture into the fields to tour all that’s growing to supply his highly acclaimed restaurant, Matunuck Oyster Bar, as well as his popular local farmer’s market stalls that sell fish, shellfish and local produce. Chef Deja Hart will integrate fresh ingredients from the farm into a dynamic alfresco Grilling Class in the fields. Join us for a perfect summer’s eve outdoor meal!
Menu: Grilled Oysters with Newport Cooks Fire Tonic, Seafood Paella cooked in a Discada or "Cowboy Wok" & Grilled Peach Skillet Cobbler.
We’ll dine alfresco with a view of the farm and taste wines to compliment the menu.
Class fee: $85 per student {includes Barge Tour, Cooking Class, Food and Wine Tasting} Bring a Child (13 years or under) for an additional $45!
