Fight the Good Fight of Faith (1 Tim 6:12)
Men's Silent Lenten Retreat

Led by:  Fr. Jack Shrum

We are the Church militant, fighting the battle of faith each and every day.  Many are unaware of the battle, some are tired, others are just entering the fight.  Equipped with the weapons that our holy mother the Church gives us, we will be better suited to know our enemy, to find strength for the battle, and to enter into it daily.

This is a traditional, silent retreat for men.  Time is provided for individual and communal prayer, spiritual reading, and devotions.  Opportunities will also be available for the celebration of the Eucharist and Reconciliation.  Prepare your soul for the celebration of Easter by spending a weekend in quiet rest and reflection.

About Fr. Shrum:

Fr. Jack Shrum, a native of Billings, Montana, has lived in the Seattle area since 1988. He studied theology for seven years at Mount Angel Seminary, where he also had the opportunity to study iconography under Br. Claude Lane, O.S.B., a monk of Mount Angel Abbey. Writing icons became a passion for Fr. Jack, a discipline that he finds relaxing, rewarding, and spiritually edifying. Ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Seattle in June of 2008, Fr. Jack currently serves as the pastor at St. Andrew Parish in Sumner.
