The 8 Habits of a Successful Marriage seminar is based on Stephen R. Covey’s No. 1 bestsellers The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The 8th Habit. This marriage workshop offers a framework for applying a universal, self-discovery approach that enables couples to communicate successfully. Participants:
1. Clearly define their vision as a family unit
2. Build a common sense of purpose, values, and goals
3. Learn a process to accomplish family goals; and
4. Discover how to achieve better communication as spouses.

About Fr. Freitag:
Born and raised in Seattle, Fr. Freitag first pursued an international business education and career for several years before answering the call to become a priest. He is obtained his M. Div. from the University of the St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary, Illinois, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Seattle in 1996. Fr. Freitag then spent three years as Parochial Vicar before being named Pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bremerton where he served for nine years. In 2008, he was transfer to his current assignment as pastor of St. Monica, Mercer Island. Additionally, Fr. What to bring: Each room is simply furnished, and comes with sheets, towels & soap. You will need to bring your own shampoo & other toiletries; comfortable clothes, a notebook & pen and anything else that will help you to feel comfortable and at home at the retreat center. Our guest rooms do not have telephones or TV’s.
Meals: Our generous meals are served buffet style in our dining room overlooking Puget Sound. The retreat will begin on Friday evening with registration from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Dinner at 6:00) and end at 1:00 PM on Sunday following lunch. Special dietary requirements can be met if you make your needs known to our kitchen staff.
Price: The fee for the retreat is $330 per couple. Price includes all presentations, six meals, and two nights in a comfortable room with private bath. Scholarships are available. If you need to cancel your retreat due to illness or other circumstances, please contact Helen Nguyen at (206) 748-7991. Retreat payments are non-refundable.
