This women's retreat, led by the Sisters of the Apostles of the Interior Life will focus on the importance of nourishing the spirit through talks, prayer, and private reflection.  The Apostles of the Interior Life will guide women in discerning God's will in their lives.

About the Sisters:

The community of the Apostles of the Interior Life was founded in Rome, Italy in 1990 by Father Salvatore Scorza.  Father Scorza noticed that there were many religious orders and groups that dedicated themselves to alleviating physical poverty.  But, he also noticed that many who were materially secure were impoverished, as well, yet in a different way. Father Scorza noticed this “spiritual poverty” and began to pray about a way to help in this area.

He was drawn to the gospel story of the encounter of Jesus with the Samaritan woman.  Through ministry to her soul, Jesus guided this woman to recognize Him and also to recognize the depth of her own spiritual poverty.  She was renewed by her encounter with Christ and was able to proclaim Him, with evangelical zeal, to others.

Through much prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, Father Scorza received the specific charism of a new congregation of religious life, dedicated to evangelization and spiritual formation.  The Charism and the Rule of Life of the Apostles of the Interior Life was approved by the Diocese of Rome in 1996.
