St. John's Outdoor Worship

Our Outdoor Liturgy of Healing is for those who are living with a serious illness or compromised immune system to keep you as safe as possible while still gathering for healing prayers and Eucharist. 

The strictest health protocols will be followed to make it as safe as possible. Attendance will be limited to 15 and you must pre-register in order to participate. Health screening questions will be asked and attendance noted for contact tracing purposes.

Please bring a chair to sit on if you are able and wear a mask to cover your nose and mouth. We will have a few (disinfected) chairs available and extra masks if you forget yours. If you experience any new Covid-like symptoms within 24 hours of the service (symptoms that are not directly attributable to another health condition), please stay home.

We will gather under the shade trees in front of the Parish Hall and Columbarium. Flags will be spaced at least 10 feet apart to show you where to place chairs. There will be no congregational singing or other music, at least to begin with. Communion will be shared in one kind (bread only, no cup), and in a manner that is “no touch.” Gluten-free wafers will be available.

This service will be simple and less formal than usual, but it still offers a chance to share in this sacrament which is so dear to us.
