BIP- Intergrated Approaches to Working with Offenders

The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) aims to convene together a coordinated training for representatives that work with offenders of domestic violence to engage in specific dialogue on some of the distinctive challenges that New Mexico tribal communities face regarding the legal, tribal and community responses to violence against women and the tribal programs that work directly with offenders. Offering expert facilitators and consultants, CSVANW's Integrated Approaches to Working with Offenders training will provide you with a customized training experience to improve program impact and provide unique solutions to increasing effectiveness of BIP programs while maintaining offender accountability.

Batterer’s intervention programs are used across the nation to reeducate batterers on relationships, anger management and the dynamics of abusive relationships. Training will look at how BIP can be implemented in tribal communities with cooperation from social service programs, domestic violence programs, behavioral health, and law enforcement.
