AR 15 - LEVEL 2 - RANGE TIME - Mar 03 - Lytle Creek Firing Line Range
You will be instructed on proper loading/unloading techniques as well as shooting positions, sight alignment and sight picture.
Course Outline
While instructors in this course will formulate an agenda and course of fire based on the needs of the students, drills and techniques will include:
- Safety
- Carbine Assembly/ Disassembly
- Weapons Loading/ Unloading
- Fundamentals of Marksmanship
- Zero Procedures
- Single Target Engagement
- Selecting slings, optics and iron sights
- Shooting positions
Equipment List
- Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
- Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training in any weather (unless training in duty uniform)
- Hydration system
- Sunscreen and bugspray
- Hat with a brim
- Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
- Earmuffs and earplugs
- AR Style Rifle
- 250 Rounds of ammo
- 3 Magazines
