1. What is the challenge for this camp?
   VEX 123 Storytime 

Learning Targets:

• Identify basic features and functions of the 123 Robot.
• Develop Robot Rules and clear expectations for how to work with the 123 Robot.
• Code a robot to move and turn to retell stories.
•  Sign your child up today! 

1. Who should attend?
   Does your child like working with robots? Are they always trying to figure out how they program computers or video games? Do they love solving problems? Do your kids excel at math or science? If you found yourself answering yes to any of these questions or your child who shows high interest in science, math, or technology-related subjects, you should definitely send your child to STEMulating Student Success through Robotics and Coding at Better Than Average. They’ll have a blast, and you’ll feel great about positively contributing to your child’s education during summer break.

 

2. Who will be supervising my child?
   All instructors and staff have undergone a rigorous application and screening process. All personnel have extensive experience working with K-12 children and have undergone a Federal background check.

 

3. What is the layout of the Camp?
   1st-day: intro, basics of robots, safety
   2nd-day: build
   3rd day: build; competition 

 

4. Is this your first time hosting a camp?
   No, this is not our first time hosting a camp; we have hosted camps in previous years focused on STEM. This year, we have incorporated robotics into our camp plans.

1. • A full refund will be issued, with a $75 administrative fee deduction per registration, if the cancellation request is received fourteen days before camp begins. 
   • A refund of 50% will be issued, with a $75 administrative fee deduction per registration, if the cancellation request is received after fourteen days, but at least two weeks prior to the camp session start date.
   • No refund will be issued for a no-show or for a cancellation request received within two weeks prior to the camp session start date.
