What is Mind in the Making (MITM)?

Especially today, as technology proliferates, children have fewer and fewer opportunities for face-to-face social interactions and social negotiations. Yet the social and emotional needs of children haven’t changed. Ellen Galinsky’s research has identified the seven life skills that are essential for children in the short- and long-term: focus and self-control, perspective taking, communicating, making connections, critical thinking, taking on challenges, and self-directed, engaged learning.

For all of us who have been wondering how to support children’s social-emotional-cognitive growth in a world where collaboration skills are critical to helping children thrive now and in the future, the Head Start MITM initiative offers that opportunity!

Successful completion prepares attendees to train MITM Trainers and to conduct MITM Community Training

Programs may register one person and designate one wait-list person.
