Course Leaders - Jennica Mayfield
Jennica spent nearly a decade in the corporate world before starting a digital marketing company in Vancouver in 2015. Her company partners with local small business owners to help make their businesses more visible online through local SEO (search engine optimization), social media marketing, and email marketing.

Tell Your Story and Grow Your Business
This new SCORE Vancouver seminar is all about marketing your small business and positioning it for growth.
We’ll start by discussing the importance of branding – what it is, why it is important and how you can tailor your message to attract the customers you want. You’ll even learn how to define your company’s story and share in an exercise of putting your own message on paper. We’ll discuss your “branding toolkit” - elevator pitch, "brag bank", logo, colors, fonts, etc.
From there, we’ll review how you can leverage Modern Marketing Channels from selection to social media and email marketing. We’ll round things out with a classroom exercise to help you create your own best practices “marketing mix.”
The seminar fee is $35. All seminar attendees may later receive free, confidential SCORE mentoring to help you personalize your company’s successful media considerations. A copy of all presentation slides and other course materials will be emailed to registrants shortly prior to the seminar. Parking at the Vancouver Housing Authority
Parking at the VHA is reserved for clients. Use of close on-street parking may require “feeding the meter” during a seminar break. Alternatively, free on-street parking is available nearby and First Church of Christ Scientist allows us to park at 204 East Fourth Plain and Broadway - one block east of VHA's Main Street office.
