In this two day training, we will meet you where you are, giving you the opportunity to get “on board” to start your journey or to get “back on track” by upgrading your current understanding of Conscious Discipline®, the highly effective social emotional curriculum to support work with children, families and Head Start/Early Head Start Programs.

Conscious Discipline®: Creating Safe Brain Smart® Classrooms

Participants will learn about the Conscious Discipline® brain model that will help not only maintain self-control but teach it to all children, including those with special needs. Participants will not only learn how to positively discipline children but literally change their brain chemistry in the process.

 Conflict - Bring it On! Strategies for Helping Children Resolve Conflct and Five Steps to Self-Regulation

Participants will become familiar with some of the skills and powers associated with Conscious Discipline® that empower children to resolve conflicts and solve other challenging dilemmas within and beyond the classroom. 

 

Conscious Discipline - Back to Basics

Renee Sutherland, Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor

This session will cover the skills and classroom structures of Conscious Discipline for staff from programs that are new to Conscious Discipline and staff who are new to programs that implement Conscious Discipline.
