MHIMA is partnering with iMedX to provide a webinar  entitled, "FY2018 ICD-10-CM Regulatory Update"

This year there is a total of 393 code changes. 296 are new, 12 have been deleted, and 85 have been revised.  This presentation reviews the changes to ICD-10-CM and provides other regulatory changes such as revised MS-DRG changes.  We will also cover "Unacceptable Principal Diagnosis Edits" as well as new additions to the MCC and CC list.

Presenters:

Alicia Reinbolt, CCS

Alicia began her career in Health Information Management first performing clerical tasks and moving into a supervisory role because of her outstanding performance.  She wanted to further her career and so she became a coder in 1995 and passed her CCS certification in 1997.  She joined the iMedX family in 2011 as a coder, was then promoted to QA Specialist, then Coding Consultant, and now serves as an Education Consultant.  She has played a key role in the implementation of iMedX's ICD-10 coding hotline and is currently serving as faculty for iMedX's ICD-10 training programs.

Pat Poli, RHIA

Pat has been with iMedX for over 8 years serving in various roles including senior data analyst, education consultant, and now senior education consultant.  In her current role Pat develops and/or assists in developing and presenting ICD-10 education programs.  She also assists with the myriad of coding hotline questions submitted by coders for client facilities.  Prior to ther employment at Amphion, Pat had various roles in Health Information Management including Staff Specialist at the Central Office for ICD-9-CM at the American Hospital Association and Director of Health Information Management at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.
