This group will focus on issues of particular relevance to parents of adults
with Asperger Syndrome who are in transition. Topics may include college, employment, independent living, relationships, holding on and letting go,
and other subjects of interest to parents of adults between 18 and 28 years
of age.
The group will be moderated by Jean Hillier. Jean is currently working with the Asperger/Autism Network and North Star Educational Services. She previously worked for the Department of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation in New Hampshire, where she became the Supervisor of the Manchester Regional Office, the largest office in the state. Jean is adept at working with a variety of customers, specializing in coaching, both individuals and groups. Jean earned a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling.
All meetings will be held at North Star Education Services in Bedford, NH. We will meet monthly for 6 months on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m.:
The cost is $90 per person ($45 for a second parent in the same family) for all six meetings. You must register for the entire series.
