About GE Manufacturing Solutions:

For more than a century, GE Transportation has been a leader in the rail industry, providing freight and passenger locomotives, signaling and communications systems as well as rail services to help solve the world’s toughest rail challenges.

Attendees are invited to see the production of a GE Evolution series locomotive from start to finish.  This is the most technologically advanced heavy-haul diesel locomotive in the world today.  This entire process takes roughly 60 days, and the facility has various locomotives in all stages of that process at any time. 

Fun Facts:

• GE Manufacturing Solutions is the first in its class to meet EPA emissions standards, the Tier 4 reduces emissions by ~70% from previous Tier 3 technology
• Everything really is bigger in Texas - here in Fort Worth the locomotive facility checks in at a staggering 1 million square feet
• With just a single gallon of fuel, these bad boys can move 1 ton of freight nearly 500 miles
• From sheet metal to shipment, a single Evolution Series locomotive takes just 21 days to build
• The Fort Worth facility currently produces 8 locomotives a week

12:00 PM – Meet in Fort Worth at noon & load bus

1:00 PM – Arrive at GE Manufacturing Solutions 
(Those who live or work near Alliance are welcome to forego the bus and meet us directly at the facility)

3:00 PM – Head over to BJ’s Brewhouse for a Happy Hour

4:00 PM – Those who took the bus will need to reload at this time & we will head back to Fort Worth
