2015 FSFOA Membership

Greetings, Members and Colleagues!                                                                       2015 Membership Drive!!!

The Florida School Finance Officers Association (FSFOA) exists to create and promote public interest in the cause of public education; to help secure uniform accounting and reporting; to improve business management practices; and to cooperate with other organizations promoting public education.  Membership is open to persons engaged in any of the many areas of business management of the public school system.  Membership in the Florida School Finance Officers Association is on a calendar year basis.  Membership in our organization has been growing annually and our sincere wish would be to continue this trend and to have all districts well represented within our family.  The annual membership fee is $25 and is paid once per calendar year.   

Membership is not without its rewards.  FSFOA paid members receive a discounted rate to attend our two annual conferences.  Our spring conference was held June 16-20, 2014 at the Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach, Florida.  It was a roaring success and we are now making plans for the FSFOA Fall 2014 Conference.  It will be held on November 11-14, 2014 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort.   Our conferences provide an opportunity to earn twenty plus hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) with at least eight hours in the area of accounting and auditing.  These conferences are a great way to learn new skills, gain information on upcoming legislative changes, and network with your fellow peer from other districts, as well as earn CPE.  In addition, retirees do not have to pay membership dues in order to participate in FSFOA activities.

Please share a copy of this information with the other finance employees in your District.  As an association we strive to offer opportunities to our members so they can be successful in our field.  To do that,  we need new ideas, new solutions to old problems, and new members to carry on the traditions and leadership of the FSFOA.
