Shoplifting and Security Workshop for Retailers with the Keene Police Department

Are you a local retail business in need of security and shoplifting advice?

Join the Hannah Grimes Center as we host Detective Steve LaMears, Bureau of Criminal Investigations of the Keene Police Department, to demonstrate best practices for dealing with unmentionables.

Detective LaMears will bring along a surveillance system to demonstrate an effective system setup.

Along with surveillance options, Detective LaMears will touch upon:

  • What to look for
  • How to protect your inventory
  • What to expect when the Police get involved

The format of this presentation relies heavily on audience participation. Detective LaMears will be there to answer any and all questions to the best of his knowledge, and hopes to present his information as an open forum, encouraging audience involvement.

Cost: free. Registration is appreciated for attendance at this event.

Detective LaMears has 14 years of Law Enforcement experience starting his career in 2000 with the City of Keene as a Police Dispatcher.  In 2003 he was hired by the Town of Marlborough where he attended the Police Academy and rose to the position of Police Sergeant.  In 2011 he was hired again by the City of Keene, and in 2013 he was assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigations as a Detective.
