Nothing is better than the sweet smell of maple syrup boiling away in a sugar house. Join in a talk on how to start your own backyard sugaring operation. Learn more about a tubing and vacuum system, a high-tech Reverse Osmosis machine, the stainless steel syrup pans and a top of the line filtering system.
Jillian and Jonathan Miner have been sugaring on their family's 90 acre wood for 4 years. It has been a life-long passion for Jon, as he first started boiling syrup when he was 5 years old. Along with producing maple syrup, Jillian has perfected maple candy and maple cream. They take pride in their healthy trees and top quality maple products. Contact Jillian at (603) 933-0832.
This workshop will take place both inside and outdoors. It will be held rain or shine. Please dress accordingly - the plan is to walk a little way into the woods to get a close-up demo of the vacuum line system.
