Presenters
David and Kristen Finch

AANE favorites (and New York Times best-selling author) David Finch
and his wife, Kristen, are returning to AANE to talk about the ups,
downs, ins, and outs, of sharing a neurologically mixed marriage.

The conference is a must for anyone interested in learning about the intricacies of relationships in which one partner has AS. Couples and therapists alike will benefit from—and enjoy—hearing how the Finches have learned to negotiate the confusing and often humorous circumstances of relating on an uneven playing field.

Building upon lessons from their previous seminars, in Happily Ever Asperger David and Kristen share their own Best Practices for a happy marriage, then turn the idea completely on its head. In Happily Ever Asperger, you will discover, as partners, that your happiness and fulfillment come from YOU, not from your partner (which can be a tricky pill for any partner to swallow—just ask Dave!) Packed with relevant, actionable strategies for being a better partner, taking responsibility for your own happiness, and clearing up your thoughts and expectations, this seminar is a must for anyone in love with a baffling person—and who isn't? David and Kristen will be available after the talk to sign copies of David's book.

About the Presenters

David Finch is a humorist and author of the acclaimed New York Times best-selling memoir, The Journal of Best Practices. Married in 2003 and diagnosed five years later with Asperger Syndrome, David has committed himself to relentless self-improvement, sometimes to a comical extent. A former semiconductor engineer turned full-time writer and speaker, David has written for The New York Times, Huffington Post, and Slate, and he writes a relationship blog for Psychology Today. But his greatest accomplishment by far has been learning how to thrive as a family man. Connect with David at davidfinchwriter.com or on Facebook at facebook.com/davidfinchwriter.

Kristen Finch is a life coach and speaker who helps people in tricky relationships with themselves, their weight, and other people. She has appeared with David on NPR's This American Life and All Things Considered, NBC's Rock Center with Brian Williams, The Jeff Probst Show, SiriusXM's Doctor Radio, and in O, The Oprah Magazine, and her articles have been published in MindBodyGreen and Thrive. Connect with Kristen at kristenfinch.com or on Facebook at facebook.com/kristenfinch10.
