presented by
Grace Myhill and Carol Feldman Bass
Saturday, September 20 (10 a.m. ~ 4 p.m.)
and
Sunday, September 21 (9 a.m. ~ 3 p.m.)
AANE Office, 51 Water Street, Suite 206, Watertown, MA
Workshop Description
Communication in any type of relationship can be challenging. Now add to that the difficulties and frustrations when each member of a couple appears to have very different:
Speaking styles
Auditory processing abilities
Perspectives
Tolerance for conflict
Capacity for problem solving
This workshop is designed to address the communication issues in relationships in which one member of the couple identifies as having Asperger's or a related autism spectrum profile and the other member does not.
Using a combination of action methods, group members will experience what it might feel like to be in each other's shoes and to learn an alternative approach to communication from that perspective.
This is a two-day workshop. On Saturday, September 20, we will meet from 10 am - 4 pm. On Sunday, September 21, we will meet from 9 am - 3 pm.
