All About Grants is an interactive workshop geared to organizations seeking government, corporate, or private foundation funding. Whether you are new to grants or a seasoned grant pro, you will learn specific strategies to identify grant sources and develop winning proposals and letters of inquiry.
Taught by a professional grant writer and former library director, Nancy Kalikow Maxwell is the author of several grant books published by the American Library Association. The editor of the classic ALA Book of Library Grant Money, she will share techniques on identifying the best private givers, corporations, community foundations, and government agencies for your organization. From her latest book Grant Money Through Collaborative Partnerships, she will explain how to collaborate with – and benefit from – the grant development of other agencies and non-profit organizations.

Featured speaker: Nancy Kalikow Maxwell, M.L.S., M.A., is a grant-writing consultant with Kaliwell, Inc. (www.librarygrants.org). Throughout her thirty-year library career, Nancy Kalikow Maxwell has participated in successful grant projects totaling more than ten million dollars. In South Florida, she was formerly library director at Miami Dade College (Miami, FL) and Barry University (Miami Shores, FL). She is the author of the American Library Association’s Grant Money Through Collaborative Partnerships (2012) and the forthcoming Ninth Edition of The ALA Book of Library Grant Money (2014).
