ABOUT THE TOUR
Music is one of the most significant enhancements to our liturgical celebrations. Yet, for many parishes, the use of music can bring many issues, such as a lack of musicians, finding the time to practice and how to prepare the best repertoire.
In October the Archdiocese is hoping to inject some new life into music ministry. Genevieve Bryant (see Genevieve's Bio below) is a young musician from Melbourne. Her passion is liturgical music and she has spent the last year travelling Australia helping parishes improve their liturgical music. She has a deep understanding of the importance of bringing our young, gifted musicians in our Catholic schools into the music life of their parish.
Genevieve will be working in schools and parishes. Whilst her approach for each session will be fine-tuned to suit the needs of her audience, her main work will include:
WHO IS GENEVIEVE BRYANT
I am currently Cantor, Pianist and Choir Leader of the Music Ministry at St. John's Mitcham. I am also working
as a private singing teacher and as Technical Events Manager at St. Patrick's Cathedral. I have performed on occasion with Fr. Robert Galea and Gary Pinto at various fundraisers and concerts within the Melbourne Archdiocese. More recently I've been involved with a group project "Evergreen" Evergreen - "Beautiful" (well worth watching!)
