Behavior Management Systems is hosting their 16th Annual Festival of Trees.
A fundraising Preview Party will be held at the Best Western/Minerva's Convention Center II, Friday, November 22, 2013 and a thirty four day Community Awareness Campaign at the Rushmore Mall will begin Tuesday, November 12 and run through Sunday, December 15 with beautiful trees and wreaths for you to enjoy, vote for your favorite by donating to BMS, and learn about the success stories of our clients who are living successfully with mental illness. One in five Americans (including children) will struggle with a diagnosable and treatable mental illness. Spread the word. There is help in Western SD and there is hope. You make can make a positive difference in the lives of 11,000 western SD residents. Please support our mission by attending the Festival of Trees.

November 12 - December 15 during Mall hours trees and wreaths will be displayed near the Santa set and Herberger's hallway. Choose your favorite by giving a donation to BMS. The tree or wreath receiving the largest amount from donations will win the People's Choice Award and the 11,000 lives BMS will touch this year will benefit from your additional support.Add to Calendar

Behavior Management Systems' mental health services expand across 20,000 square miles of Western South Dakota. Last year we touched the lives of 11,000 people. With your help we provided noon meals to 50 adults 3 times per week; reduced the number of suicides in Pennington County; helped addicted mothers become clean and sober and give birth to healthy babies; provided support and guidance to grandparents raising granchildren; guided dozens of men, women, and teens in appropriate ways to manage their anger; equipped children struggling with ADHD with tools to succeed; and the list goes on. The donations we receive from the Festival of Trees events supplement our program funding.
The Preview Party is a festive jumpstart to the holiday season and our major fundraiser. Social hour will begin at 5:30 on Friday, November 22nd. A wine and a cash bar will be available. Two silent auction tables will also be open for bids. Fun and unique packages will help fill Christmas shopping lists.
Following the social hour dinner will be served. A dessert tray of small bites will be on each table. Your entree selections are:
- sirloin steak w/shallot Bourbon cream sauce, Asiago mashed potatoes, and fresh green crispy green beans;
- chicken piccata w/artichokes, lemon capers, tomato and butter sauce, fingerling potatoes and fresh crispy green beans; and
- pecan crusted salmon w/a sweet pecan topping, fingerling potatoes, fresh crispy green beans; all served with a lettuce salad.
A short program will follow dinner, then the live auction will begin. Our gingerbread houses are always a crowd favorite and will be available to purchase this year by silent bid.
