Advanced Family Violence Option -- October 23, 2013

NOTE: participants must have completed the Core FVO training within the past two (2) years before being illegible to register for the Advanced Workshop.

The Advanced Family Violence Option Workshop is a one half day workshop delivered by staff from Colorado Works at the Colorado Department of Human Services. This Advanced Workshop is designed to enhance the skills and abilities of county workers who perform assessments by briefly reviewing domestic violence dynamics and providing participants with an opportunity to build screening and assessment skills through directed activities.  The workshop outcomes include:

• Describe how and when to screen & assess (as an event and process)
• Practice screening for domestic violence
• Practice assessment of a customer who is or has been a victim of domestic violence
