On behalf of the National Capital Region (NCR) Exercise and Training Operations Panel (ETOP), the Maryland Emergency Management Agency invites you to participate in G393 Mitigation for Emergency Managers.

Date: September 24 - 26, 2013

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: 6820 Webster Street, Landover Hills, MD 20784

Overview: This course is designed to enable the non-technical emergency worker to acquire skills in the use of mitigation. The course provides training in how to perform mitigation activities fundamental to reducing and eliminating long-term risk from hazards. It addresses the important roles of the emergency program manager (or other local government representative) in mitigation: motivator, coordinator, and monitor in local implementation of the National Mitigation Strategy..

Participants: All Interested.  Recommended - professionals responsible for mitigation.

Prerequisites: Recommended - completion of IS-393.a, Introduction to Hazard Mitigation.

Logistics: Lunch will not be provided.  Attire is business casual or daily uniform.
