Indeed, many of the best towns and neighborhoods to live in include “greenways” and parks that connect neighborhoods to each other, to schools, to commercial and other centers. In addition, studies have shown that investing in landscape and greenway design can have tremendous economic benefits for developers and towns alike.
This workshop will show how community planning that addresses the values of health and wellness through greenspace design can and does work. After a program that illustrates techniques and examples of this concept, participants will have an opportunity to apply what they have learned in a greenway network design exercise.
The workshop will provide valuable information for planners, landscape architects, architects, members of planning boards, conservation commissions, and more.
Check-in begins at 3:30, program starts promptly at 4:00. Regisration fees include a light supper.
CM credits have been approved for this workshop by the APA.
