Artascope Studios in South Portland is an art facility with three separate media studios. Classes are taught in three formats: all-inclusive one night classes, weekly classes taught in series and weekend getaways. Subjects range from jewelry making to stained glass, landscape painting to collage. In addition to classes, we host events and parties and have a studio membership program. Precious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate in a completed kiln fired PMC pendant.

Learn metalsmithing in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Begin by learning how to handle the necessary tools and equipment. You will then set out on several projects, making pieces like rings and bracelets and perfecting skills in techniques like etching, embossing and soldering. This class is great for beginners or returning students.
